What I learned from 3 Dogs in 3 Days details my three-day dog sitting adventure over a long holiday weekend. To my surprise, in the midst of caring for three dogs while cooking and cleaning, an unexpected voice began speaking in my right ear.
What did the voice say?
He masterfully pointed out simple yet profound insights, explaining how one’s perspective can shape their reality and overall happiness. If that wasn’t strange enough, even more befuddling was witnessing the dogs simultaneously interact with one another, demonstrating the described scenarios in perfect unison along with the nameless, wise voice. Somehow, listening to his words while observing their actions allowed me to comprehend deep-seated truths that had previously escaped my conscious understanding.
Hard to believe?
It was for me too. If I hadn’t been overwhelmed with cooking, dog sitting, and dictating this mystery man’s wise counsel, I may have brushed him off as a temporary delusion. Gratefully, I didn’t because now you have an entertaining story to read and if you allow it, possibly some nuggets of wisdom to help you live a happier life.
Simply through the enlightening answers I received to my questions during meditation about why i was in so much pain.
In spite of eating right, exercising, and utilizing supplements, reading self-help & spiritual books and so much more--I still wasn't happy. There was something that was deeper that was wrong, that I needed, that I craved. I looked everywhere and to everyone for help, but I didn't find it until I looked within myself.
What I learned from the answers I received is that everything, from relationship issues to health problems and everything in between, stems from a lack of self-love. If we come from a place of love in everything we do--from how we treat ourselves to how we react to others-- anything that we consider a "problem" no longer exists. It simply vanishes with our misconceptions and judgements. I heard this statement whispered to me one day during meditation and it seemed to sum everything up for me...
